A Community Effort to Enhance Outdoor Space

Amberley Care Home is delighted to announce an exciting project currently underway; the revamping of our garden. This initiative aims to transform our outdoor area into a more beautiful, tranquil and inviting space for residents to enjoy. Spearheaded by our home manager, the project has seen the addition of charming garden accessories and a stunning array of colourful flowers, generously donated by the relatives of our residents.

The vision behind the garden redecoration is to create an aesthetically pleasing and peaceful environment where residents can relax, connect with nature and participate in outdoor activities. The home manager has meticulously sourced a variety of delightful garden accessories, from elegant seating arrangements to whimsical decorations, enhancing the garden’s charm and functionality.

Relatives of our residents have also played a crucial role in this transformation, bringing in a wide assortment of vibrant flowers. Their contributions have added splashes of colour and life to the garden, making it a delightful place to spend time. This collaborative effort has fostered a strong sense of community involvement, with staff, residents and their families working together to beautify the outdoor space.

The benefits of this garden revamp extend beyond aesthetics. Spending time in a well-maintained garden has been shown to positively impact residents' wellbeing, both physically and mentally. The fresh air, natural beauty and serene atmosphere contribute to reducing stress, enhancing mood and promoting physical activity among residents.

Residents have expressed their delight with the changes, noting how the garden has become a favourite spot for socialising, reading and simply enjoying the outdoors. The ongoing project has provided a renewed sense of purpose and engagement, encouraging residents to take an active interest in their environment.

The garden revamp at Amberley Care Home is a testament to the power of community spirit and collaboration. As the project continues, we look forward to further enhancing our garden and creating even more opportunities for residents to enjoy this wonderful outdoor space.
