Catering Manager at Amberley Wins ‘Eat Well Ambassador of The Year’ Award

Eat Well Ambassador of the Year Award

Amberley Care Home is proud to announce our Catering Manager, Sarah Russell has won the 'Eat Well Ambassador of The Year' award at the group's care awards held in Manchester last Thursday. The award was presented by Danny Crates, former British Paralympian and sponsored by Brakes.

The award was given to an individual who recognises the ‘whole home approach' to food and nutrition within the home. The Catering Team at Amberley headed by our Catering Manager was able to give evidence of having:

  • Provided a worthwhile mealtime environment
  • Offered a varied and innovative menu
  • Understood the diverse nutritional needs of residents
  • Provided and promoted healthy food choice
  • Maintained good standards of hygiene and environmental health

Sarah was described as "bringing such infectious positivity to her home. Sarah is so passionate about providing residents with the highest quality of food and nutrition and has a great person-centred approach to really understand their likes and dislikes. She readily shares her knowledge and ideas to ensure that every team member at the home is committed to making the dining experience at the home one of amazing service and food."

The catering team at Amberley believe a pleasurable mealtime experience is extremely important for residents' health and well-being and will continue to create diversified and nutritional menus for them to enjoy on a daily basis.
