Celebrating the King’s Coronation & International Nurses Day
The day finally arrived and residents and staff were so excited to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.
On the day itself, we kicked off our celebrations in the home with a full English breakfast before heading into our communal lounges for a live screening of the event on our TVs. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed watching the pomp, ceremony, and splendour of the magnificent historical occasion.
Following the ceremony, we hosted a splendid banquet that was very much fit for a King. In addition to our residents and staff, we were later joined by friends and family who got involved with the fun, games, and live entertainment.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all those who helped us in marking such a wonderful moment in history and making the day one that will never be forgotten.
As well as celebrating our new King, we have also been recognising and celebrating the Nurses within our care home, the wider community, and worldwide.
This International Nurses Day, we took the time to acknowledge the wonderful work that our Nurses do for us on a daily basis as well as recognise the hard work that Nurses all over do to ensure the health and wellbeing of those in society.
To reward our Nurses, we provided them with gifts of wine, flowers, and cards and made sure that they know that they are valued and appreciated every single day for the support that they give to both our team and residents.
It is important to us here at Amberley Care Home in Sale, Greater Manchester, that we celebrate the people and the moments that are not only special to us but special to our residents too.
We want our residents to continue living their lives just as they would do if they weren't residing with us, and we go to great lengths to make sure that they can do just that with ease and support.
