A Successful Macmillan Coffee Morning

Residents Enjoying MacMillan Morning

At Amberley Care Home, two things we enjoy are supporting charities close to our hearts – and cake!

Our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning was a huge success as we welcomed residents, families, and staff (including those on maternity leave!) to our home for coffee, cake, and conversation.

Macmillan Coffee Mornings is an initiative that's been around for many years, whereby people can host their very own coffee morning, or other delicious get-together, in order to raise funds to help beat cancer.

At Amberley, our residents and staff love sweet treats, so lots of coffee and cake always seems to be the best idea. We provided plenty of delicious home bakes, including our resident's favourites; chocolate fudge cake and cupcakes, some flavoured lemon, and some coffee and walnut.

The staff and residents at our home are also extremely passionate about fundraising for charities close to our hearts, and being members of our local community in Sale, Greater Manchester.

Our activities coordinators go to great lengths to create an activities programme that provides opportunities for our residents to meet other people, pursue new hobbies, or just continue to do the things they love to do.

Hosting coffee mornings at our care home in Sale is just one of the great ways we can achieve this, all whilst raising money for a worthy charity too.
