Resident Friends

Welcoming Life-Long Companionships to Amberley

This month at Amberley Care Home, we were delighted to welcome into the home two lifelong friends; Hazel and Sheila.

Hazel and Sheila have been friends for many years and wanted to continue the next stage of their lives by each other's side. They have never been far apart from one another, and this is still the case as they have rooms here that are next door to each other.

We are so glad that we could accommodate both Hazel and Sheila and we look forward to listening to the many stories of times that they have shared together. We also hope they enjoy continuing to create memories with each other and the other residents and making full use of the outstanding facilities we have to offer, such as afternoon tea and trips to the Hair & Beauty Salon.

We understand that moving into a care home can sometimes be daunting, and as much as we try to ensure everyone is involved with life at Amberley and taking part in social activities, we know it can feel lonely without familiar faces. That's why we are only too happy to accommodate these types of admission.

Recently, we also welcomed a husband and wife who wanted to move in together, and they are now next door but one neighbours. In every circumstance, we try to provide rooms next door to each other or only a couple of rooms apart at the very most.

Whether it's friends, siblings, or partners, we will always do whatever we can to meet your request to move in with a loved one and welcome you with open arms.

If moving in with a loved one is something that you are interested in, then please get in touch with our friendly team and we would be happy to help.
